"Urine Infection"

About: South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / NHS 111

(as the patient),

I phoned 111 yesterday afternoon and could not fault the marvellous service I received both from the operator and the Doctor who phoned me back! I received a phone call from the Doctor at 5. 30pm and by 6. 10pm I picked up a course of antibiotics from my nearby Chemist.

I have mentioned this story on my facebook status and I am nearing 70 likes and 30 comments all praising what an excellent job you do and the lengthy hours you must have to work!

Again, thank you to you all!

Dear TSL

Thank you very much for taking the time to feed back to us about your recent experience of our NHS111 service, as well as the out-of-hours (OOH) GP service. I was so pleased to read your positive comments about both services, and to know that your case was dealt with so efficiently.

Thank you also for mentioning on your Facebook page the marvellous care you received; it really is reassuring to know that many of your friends have also had good experiences with the service.

I will pass your kind comments on to our 111 team, as they very much appreciate receiving feedback from patients themselves, as well as carers and relatives. If you would like us to pass on your thanks to the OOH service concerned we would be happy to do so, but would just need to know whereabouts you were calling from to enable us to identify which service it was. You can do this by calling our Patient Experience Team on 0300 123 9242, or by emailing pet@secamb.nhs.uk.

Thank you again, and I do hope the antibiotics are working and you are recovering well.

Yours sincerely, Louise Hutchinson
