My wife has recently spent 9 months in The QA during that time she received the best care possible. Her life was saved by the dedication and professionalism of the staff. The Critical Care Team & The Colorectal Team led by the consultant surgeon are an outstanding group of individuals who work hard under very trying circumstances,. we were kept well informed and can only praise the exceptional care they provided. There was a lot of bad press about the QA during my wife,s stay ambulances queuing up,,shortage of beds etc , having spent 9 months visiting I can say with some authority the fault lies not with the hospital but with the lack of facilities for aftercare. A great many people well enough to be discharged and release a much needed bed were unable to do so as there was no aftercare available. In my experience all of the staff from cleaners to top surgeons do an excellent job.
