"macular branch retinal vein occlusion"

About: Good Hope Hospital / Ophthalmology

(as the patient),

I noticed that my sight had been affected in my right eye. Rather like looking threw glass with rain on it. I visited my optician who referred me to Opthalmology dept at good hope. I was under this department for two years where I received Lucentis injections into my eye over a period of time. Whilst waiting time could be improved I found staff friendly and reassuring and best of all injections have improved my sight in right eye.

Thank you to all staff

Dear Leesan

Thank you for your kind comments regarding your treatment and patient experience in the Ophthalmology Department at Good Hope Hospital.

I am so pleased to read that following the ongoing treatment you received, the sight in your affected right eye has improved. I'm sure that this has been of huge benefit and relief to you, and improved your quality of life.

I will be thrilled to ensure that your feedback is highlighted to the Clinical Director for Ophthalmology, as well as to the Matron so that they can ensure this is communiccated to both the clinical and nursing teams in Ophthalmology, who work very hard to provide a positive patient experience.

I hope this is acceptable and once again thank you for taking the time to post your feedback, it is very important to us.

Kind regards

Marie Helebert
