Thank you SR for excellent care in Emergency Assessment Unit of daughter suspected of having a stroke, her confusion, head pains and inarticulacy making us all worried. MRI scan showed no stroke, and doctor could not explain the cause, though we told him she was 11 weeks pregnant. Googling the subject of migraines and pregnancy gave us the logical link between both - hormonal changes and body in overdrive can lead to migraines. Neurologist excellent and reassuringly saw bigger picture; thankfully no (costly) second MRI scan or earlier suggested lumbar puncture and longer stay in SR. Learnt that SR has no maternity ward/obstetrics maybe why doctor missed the link of early pregnancy and migraines?
Nursing staff mega-excellent. Love the shops in hosp for eating, reading and writing needs. And a Royal Mail post box.
Felt it is a positive environment.
Thank you NHS and thank you Salford Royal for prompt care and follow up of daughter's scary condition. You were marvellous.
