About 9 weeks ago I had an appointment at the podiatry clinic in Huddersfield having been referred to them by my GP. I was seen by a lovely gentleman, I think his name is Matthew, he said he would order some orthotic insoles which would take 2-3 weeks. However, I heard nothing more and called the clinic earlier today to check when the insoles would arrive.
I was quite shocked by the way the person at the clinic spoke to me. Firstly, it took ages for them to get into the computer, it seemed that they did not know what they were doing and could not find any useful information for me. I felt that they were very dismissive, when I explained that I’d now been waiting nine weeks and had heard nothing. I also explained that I was hoping to get the insoles before I went away on holiday – their response was that ‘it was up to me. ’ I was utterly shocked, they realized that they had said the wrong thing and that it had ‘just slipped out’.
I thought that their behaviour was absolutely unprofessional.
"unprofessional"
