Mr Jubbin, the occupational therapist who came to see my mother-in-law yesterday, was utterly charming and very professional. Because of earlier events my mother-in-law was in a very awkward mood but he won her over, charmed her into listening to him and being co-operative. She is determined to stay in her own home but has not been responding to using mobility and safety aids as she should be thus being at risk of injury and consequently of having to move out of her house. I don’t know what magic Mr Jubbin worked on her but she started to use her walker correctly and to consider adaptations to the house that would make it easier for her to shower and be looked after. I, and the rest of the family, are so grateful for his help and support.
