"Rainbow, starlight and maternity wards"

About: North Middlesex Hospital

I can't sing the praises enough of all the staff in these wards, from my daughter being admitted for appendectomy through to her ante natal care and safe delivary of my grand daughter who has had several stays on rainbow and starlight ward herself in the 5 months since birth.... Ava-Mae has been shown such love and care from all staff both medical and non-medical during her stays in hospital.... Myself and her mum have had support and advice on hand whenever needed and at all times were made to feel comfortable and well looked after whilst staying with Ava-Mae..... The wards are clean and comfortable and nothing is too much trouble for any member of staff to help you with ... With the closure of other a&e in the area and the closure of maternity units that would normally cover the surrounding areas there is bound to be pressure on the staff in the emergency departments within the hospital, and at times there is bound to be some amount of waiting, whether to be seen by a doctor or for a bed to become available but at all times we have always been made comfortable and Ava-Mae's care has been priority ... Thank you as always to the staff on rainbow for looking after Ava-Mae, you're truley amazing all of you with your kindness and compassion X lyn

Many thanks for this warm praise for my hardworking and caring Rainbow ward team. It makes the job worthwhile.

I'll share it at our next team huddle and make the team smile.

Beatrice Norman, Rainbow ward matron.
