"Shocking post op care Cedar Ward."

I watched in horror as a female patient was ignored and left to suffer. The cedar ward has excellent staff and team , but as darkness falls so do the standards of care. The lady involved had received hip replacement and was regaining consciousness during the night. The nurse snapped at her , told her to sort her own pain relief out and took an hour to return with bed pan and water.

As the morning arrived the care reversed into kind professionalism. One of the upsetting aspects is that the ward beds 1 / 6 are away from the senior nurse team. So the nurses involved had no one to witness their careless nursing.
