What I liked

My uncle had two lengthy stays in Walkergate Hospital, most recently on Ward 1. I have to say that all staff were very friendly and approachable. In my opinion he received the best care possible and my uncle also speaks very highly of everyone on the ward.

During his stay my uncle was quite poorly but nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

Someone has left a comment about the lack of tv's; this is an extremely old building without the rip-off patientline service - there is a day room and portable tv's available on the ward for pateint's use, but we took our own in and once checked was able to be used freely by my uncle.
