"Excellent care received from staff on C2..."

Both of our sons have autism which complicates most aspects of daily activities . Our eldest son was recently admitted to C2 for a surgical procedure .

The staff were friendly and welcoming and had a true understanding of a child with special needs . The trust has an allocated learning disability nurse who was amazing ! They were able to pre plan our sons care with the surgical team and staff on the ward . This level of team work and cummunication between specialities resulted in a very stress free experience for our son and us. Our son had a positive experience which will make future visits much easier !

We used the service on C2 again for our second son who needed a blood test . Antime slot was allocated which ran to time and the play therapist was amazing ! The staff once again were friendly and we felt they had a true understanding of our sons needs ! The children's services at RHH for children with additional needs appears to be greatly improving and as regular service users we are very grateful ! Thank you for all those involved in taking such good care of our sons !
