"Poor treatment at Langley green"

About: Langley Green Hospital

My daughter is back in Coral Ward after being in the community for 2 years. As before we find the co-operation of staff appalling and since July I have been trying to speak to her Consultant but not once have they returned our calls. My daughter has now said she is being discharged, this is somebody who threatened 2 men with a knife and sat with a carving knife waiting for me to come home to kill me. The police came and were very perturbed by her behaviour and sectioned her. Now a month and a half along, the hospital feel she is fit to mix with community as and when she wants and to be shortly discharged. Disgusting

Dear concerned parent

I am sorry you found the conduct of staff on Jade Ward appalling. In addition I apologise for you not being able to get in contact with the ward consultant. As I am not able to go into clinical detail over this particular communication platform ,I am more than happy to meet with you to discuss the concerns you have raised.

Please contact me, Beverley Baldwin at Langley Green Hospital to arrange a convenient time to meet.

Thank you.
