"My story"

About: Forensic Services / Butler House

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

My illness first surfaced in jail. I was abusing Class A drugs and I was a control problem. I was very paranoid when I was admitted to a top secure hospital. Many times I used violence towards members of staff and other patients. I hurt people that were closest to me.

My illness is now under control through medication and a new approach to life. I am very well balanced and have learned good eye contact, good manners and know how to talk to people properly. I am now in a pre-discharge ward and looking forward to moving on soon.
