"It's a shame so many ignoring no smoking signs."

About: The Royal Liverpool University Hospital

I could not fault the attentiveness & care shown by all members of staff that dealt with my visit. The hospital was clean & made me feel relaxed. As I put in my title it's sad that people have to deal with getting two lungfulls of cigarette smoke on their way on & out.

Thank you for your kind comments about our hospital. We are pleased that you had a good experience and will pass on your comments to our staff.

Our hospital operates a no smoking policy, so we’re sorry you had a bad experience with people smoking near the hospital entrance. We will pass this onto our security team and smoking cessation officers. We do encourage people not to smoke and nicotine replacement therapy is freely available, however we cannot move people from the grounds as it is not illegal to smoke on hospital grounds. If you would like to discuss this further, please contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service on 0151 706 4903/4908/4909 or via PALS&complaints@rlbuht.nhs.uk.
