"Exemplary care"

About: King's College Hospital (Denmark Hill)

I was admitted for removal of a spinal meningioma T3 thoracic area. The surgeons told me when I asked that they had not operated on an anterior meningioma before only on posterior meningiomas. However the confidence that my surgeons engendered made me feel as relaxed about the operation as I could be. The operation went very well & after several months of not being able to walk properly I was able to feel my lower limbs again. There is no doubt in my mind that I was lucky enough to have the finest surgeons & aftercare that it was possible for me to have. I consider myself very lucky & thank everyone from the cleaners, the catering staff, nurses, doctors & consultants. I am doing well at home & continue to make a good recovery. A sincere thank you to all involved in my treatment & aftercare on Murray Falconer ward, you do such a wonderful job & always with a smile.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience of the care you received from the Neurosurgery Team here at King's. Many thanks for your very kind comments - I will ensure that they are shared with the team. I am sure they will be very pleased to hear that the care you received lived up to the high standards we set ourselves. I hope your recovery is going well.
