"War Zone not a Hospital"

About: The Tunbridge Wells Hospital

A War Zone is how this Hospital has been described by one of its own senior Doctors. Having had a life threatening problem diagnosed in May 2016 I have spent time and money undergoing private treatment to move matters forward as quickly as possible. The last part of the jigsaw prior to open heart surgery is an angiogram and for this I was added to the NHS waiting list which was fairly lengthy but such is life. On the night before the procedure it was cancelled and I have been told that this was due to a lack of beds. When I queried this I was told that the problem went back over 12 months and that the hospital's management seem incapable of solving the issue. The re-arranged angiogram was again cancelled for the same reason although funnily enough if I offered to pay, a bed could be found for me. It seems inconceivable that the hospital cannot recruit staff who are of the calibre required to resolve basic issues. Clearly somebody has to die before the management will do anything!
