What I liked

Doctor was very curteous and took time to explain things although was 1 hour late

What could be improved

Reception staff behaviour is as if they are doing me a favour. (I pay my tax and NI and hence am paying their salary).

Anything else?

My daughter's GP adviced a blood test. I was told that i could get the earliest appointment for the blood test in 2 weeks time and then it will be 1 week for the results. That means for a simple blood test, because i am in their catchment area (my GP had categorically asked me to go to either Hillingdon or Mt Vernon - they do not do blood tests for 5 year olds) my daughter has to wait longer. I can't imagine what if there is a hidden ailment that needs to be treated at the earliest. God forbid and bless us all. Should the government stop NI and leave us to pay private health insurance?

Thank you for your comment. I am really sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the phlebotomy service provided at Hillingdon Hospital. Unfortunately as you state the current regular service is provided by one phlebotomist and when she is away there is only urgent / emergency cover from within the medical team.
