"Concerned"

This was my first time at Rochdale Infirmary.From entering the hospital I was very impressed by how clean it was.Sanitizers at different points along the corridors.My appointment was at the Eye Unit to have a cyst removed.Upon entering the ward a lovely Student nurse introduced them self to me,they were so sweet.They took all my details etc and explained every step of what was going to come next.They also looked after my niece who accompanied me.The anaestheistist came to speak to me about the procedure on my eye and if I wanted to go ahead with it or not,the options were there.I told them I was scared of needles,and they reassured me it was only a very small ,fine needle,which made me feel more at ease.They marked the correct eye to be done,I signed the consent form and waited my turn.I was wheeled into the theatre where a lovely person,helping the surgeon,held my hand to make me feel less nervous,the poor person,I gave them a hard time squeezing their hand,but sorry,you know who you are.Then the surgeon started the op,they were so gentle ,calm and did a fantastic job,thanks a million,I need' t have worried being in such capable hands.I want to say a huge thanks to all the staff in the eye department for their care and much appreciated attention.You are a credit to our NHS !
