Having been diagnosed by my doctor with appendices I went to the Pilgrim. I was seen very quickly and taken to the ward. After many test including a CT scan it was confirmed as Perforated Diverticulitis. I cannot praise the hospital enough for the a care and attention I received from all members of staff from the consultant down to the tea staff. An operation proved unnecessary has the infection was cleared with antibiotics. I will be attending the hospital again soon for a colonoscopy and feel sure the staff in that department will be just as caring. On closing when I was allowed to eat I found the food good too
"Emergency admission"
