"Poor diagnois skills by staff"

About: Minehead Community Hospital

Examination skills by staff poor. Just told to go to GP after they said no chest infection present.

Paramedic and GP both diagnosed chest infection.

Visited twice.

If correct diagnosis and treatment was given first time, recovery would have started sooner.

Dangerous lack of skills. Avoid.

Hello

Thank you for sharing your recent experience with our Trust. I would very much like to follow this up with the MIU team and provide some detailed information back to you, but in order to do so I will first need some personal details from you. If you could provide me with your full name, address and date of birth along with the date and approximate time or your visit to Minehead MIU someone from the PALS team will be very happy to look into it on your behalf. Please contact us by calling us on Tel: 01278 432022 or emailing the PALS team at pals@sompar.nhs.uk. We look forward to hearing from you.

With kind regards
