"Some of the staff in maternity are a disgrace."

About: New Cross Hospital / Maternity care

Me and my wife were booked in for our 20 week scan today, our appointment was at 10:00. We originally asked for a later appointment as we have a business that operates during the late evening and we end up being late to bed, we were told that's the only appointment for 2 months and they do not offer this service after 11:00 anyway. We arrived at the hospital at 10:05, we live 9 miles away and couldn't anticipate an accident on one of the roads, we arrived in the reception and were ignored by back office staff completely, even when knocking the window and calling them they ignored us, we managed to stop a passing nurse who let us in through the locked door and said follow the corridor!! We eventually found the reception for the scans at 10:10 only to be refused the scan! My wife explained the situation but the person almost took pleasure in my wife's distress as they just refused to help. We are now re booked in for exactly 7 days time at 13:30 in the afternoon. Horrible, despicable people What should have been a happy occasion was ruined by these horrible spiteful people and the worst thing is they seemed to be getting a thrill from causing my wife distress. Funny thing, we have another appointment with the doctor in maternity at 10:30, we are still waiting and it's now after 11? What a great service? I can't put into words how I feel about these vile women I really can't.
