"Poor Care in Fraser Ward City Hospital Nottingham"

My Wife is currently under the care of your team in the Fraser Ward City Hospital having been admitted on Sat afternoon with a very high temperature 38. 8 and extremely bad sickness and diarrhoea, she's recently just finished her 6 cycles of chemo. The SRU team were excellent and service offered was exceptional however she was moved to this ward and all was well until this evening when around 8pm she started getting ill again and asked one of nurses if she could have some Imodium to stop her from rushing to the toilet and the nurse said she'd ask the on call Doctor to prescribe something this was at 8: 45pm on Sunday night and is currently still running between the room and the toilet, the nurses have contacted the Doctor he/she or the medication still hasn't arrived and it's now 00: 32am, all she wants to do is try and sleep. Can somebody tell why it takes so long for someone to prescribe medication when you have the so called hand technology to make things easier and better for the patient. I know the NHS is under great pressure particularly at weekends but this isn't really acceptable. I await your thoughts and will let you the time when the Dr actually turns up which could be as late as 2am.
