"I have no problem with the quality ..."

About: Royal Sussex County Hospital

(as a relative),

What I liked

I have no problem with the quality of the medical care although I would like to have been more involved in discussing diagnosis and decision on

my father's welfare as he is 99 and deaf and blind.

He was given the correct treatment for his condition in a reasonable time

Anything else?

I would appreciate comments on my experiences

and an effort to be more democratic and respectful of patients as equals who need to

be included in treatment decisions not

deliberately excluded by Nurses and doctors especially the elderly and their relatives.

Thank you for taking time to leave feedback. Good communication with patients and their families and carers is always a top priority in our hospitals. We are sorry to hear that you felt we could have done better in this area for you and your father. If you are able to contact our complaints department on 01273 696955 (ask for the Complaints department) or via email oncomplaints@bsuh.nhs.uk to give us more details, we can investigate this matter further.
