"The place was clean and tidy...staff ..."

About: King Edward Vii Hospital (Windsor)

(as the patient),

What I liked

The place was clean and tidy...staff seemed ok.

What could be improved

You tell me!

I arrived at 8.50 am at the Podiatry department, my appointment was at 9am....I went to the appt desk and was told to sit in the seats near the appts desk....I waited and waited 50 min s later, I asked at reception how long more I`d have to wait....the lady said....what for I said Podiatry...she said Oh dear you shouldnt be waiting here....if have to go through those doors and do a right!...she apologised that I was given the wrong information....I went through the doors and down the corridor to see a sign that said podiatry! this is where I should have been sitting all this time....it was now, 10 am....I saw the podiatrist in the corridor told him the story and he said....I will not be able to see you today....to which I replied, well you`d better..I have waited months for this appointment....he thought that I had just arrived late (very) for my apointment at 9am.....he then said I`ll see if I can fiot you in if I have a cancellation....no cancellation....in the end, I was seen at 11.25am....two and a half hours after my original appointment time!

And why, because someone gave out the wrong information!!!! On leaving the hospital and arriving back at the appointments desk, I saw that there was no sign to point to podiatry.....this is simple! Put up a sign with an arrow....Done!

Anything else?

I had a tea in the canteen whilst I waitied and I found the canteen staff, with a `couldn`t be bothered attitude` touching on rude-ness....also, I saw a cleaner wipe the floor with her bare hands with a cloth and then she wiped the table top...without washing her hands first.........that is appalling!
