"Extremely disapointed"

About: Royal Manchester Children's Hospital

My daughter has been seen at this hospital since the age of 10 years. We are now 3 years on and still waiting for the appropriate treatment to be done. We are aware of the problem it is just a case of getting an appointment for my daughter. Each appointment she has had has been rescheduled at least three times. I am unable to get through to any of the secretary's (3) to request urgent follow up appointments and have been advised that my daughter's consultant does not have a secretary so keep trying the numbers I have!! I was given an email address for a different secretary and after writing a lengthy email advising the pain my child is in I get a return email advising she has left the Trust. I will have to go into the Outpatients department to request a sooner appointment!!

Thank you taking the time to post your feedback. We were sorry to learn about the difficulties you have experienced in getting an appointment for your daughter and contacting staff about this. It is very difficult to respond to the specific concerns you have raised without being able to investigate in detail. We take all issues surrounding patient care very seriously and would very much like to hear from you directly about this. If you contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service on 0161 276 8686 or by e-mailing pals@cmft.nhs.uk they will be happy to discuss this with you.
