"Blood test department"

About: Queen Elizabeth I I Hospital (Welwyn Garden City)

I took my mother last week for a blood test which had to be repeated due to unknown reasons. The letter stated that she would be seen without waiting in a queue. When we passed the letter to receptionist I couldn't hear what they said as the room was a bit crowded and noisy. I asked if my mother would be seen straight away and they responded in very nervous and rude voice:

Yes I just told you so! It's not the first time this particular receptionist acts like this as it happened to us before. It's their job to be nice and friendly to all patients! It looks like they do not like their job at all!

Although this service, and thus the staff, belongs to a different NHS organisation called the Pathology Partnership, we can see how upset you were by this individual's actions.

If you would like them to follow this up with you, then we would be more than happy to put you in touch - just email us at generalenquiries.enh-tr@nhs.net.
