"Fantastic staff on the maternity and labour wards"

About: Calderdale Royal Hospital / Maternity care

I gave birth to my little girl on 28th August on the labour ward. Things had started to not go as I had hoped with a lot of medical involvement and advice to induce from doctors and I was admitted to hospital for high blood pressure. Once I explained my worries to one of the doctors, they really made an effort to understand our concerns and put me in touch with the consultant midwife and both did absolutely everything they could to ensure I was well looked after and could get as close to the birth that I wanted. Drs were truly wonderful. I then had a tough labour with a lot of back pain and received fantastic pre, during and post care with MAC being very caring, the nurses doing a fantastic job of delivering and looking after us so well in recovery. Would highly recommend Halifax to anyone - I was really impressed by how much they listened to me and seemed to genuinely care. All the midwifery team and staff were lovely too, not one exception. Thank you for turning my experience around.
