My dad presented to A&E due to severe back pain which was later diagnosed as a kidney stone. From beginning to end the care we received was amazing. He was in a lot of pain which was hard to see but was quickly triaged and placed on a bed. He was given appropriate pain relief which allowed him to feel at ease. He was seen by a Nurse and then a Doctor very quickly and had a CT scan which confirmed the diagnosis. The Nurses, Doctors, HCA's and phlebotomists were all amazing. They were kind, helpful and quick acting. Everything was explained to him step by step so he felt informed and included. He was admitted to Purley 3 where the great care continued. When visiting my dad I asked the Nurse for an update regarding his care. They explained the Nurse looking after him was on break however they would do their best to find out and update me. They then kindly explained what the plan was. My dad expressed his gratitude regarding the care he received from presenting into A&E to settling into Purley 3. Many thanks to everyone.
"Great care from A&E and Purley 3"
