"staff memeber"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / General Medicine

(as a relative),

My Mother In Law was recently an in-patient in Ward 4D Crosshouse following a Stroke.

One of the Auxiliary Nurses was the most attentive, caring girls that I have encountered.

The way that I observed her dealing with patients and all the wee extra things she did to make my mum in law's stay more pleasant, nothing was too much bother for her and she always had a smile. Her name was Janice but I never got her 2nd name. She had blond hair in a pony tail. NHS needs more staff like this girl! ! !

I was touched by the way she cared.

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.

Dear Nell4,

Janice sounds like a the type of person I would like to look after my family (and me for that matter). I will happily pass this to Janice and the team, I suspect it will make her day. Thank you for sharing this with us and I hope your mother-in-law has made a full recovery.

best wishes,

Eunice
