"Prompt caring treatment in A & E"

About: North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust / Emergency ambulance Stepping Hill Hospital / Emergency Department Tameside General Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

This story has been posted by Healthwatch Tameside on behalf of a member of the public who wanted to remain anonymous. We do not have their contact details. They said..

This lady has no problems with services. After being fit for years, last week she needed an ambulance twice, and was taken to A & E. The first time she was taken to Tameside Hospital and the second time to Stepping Hill. She said she received prompt, caring treatment, including fitting of a catheter, at both places.

She said that the staff worked very hard.

Thank you to Healthwatch Tameside for taking the time to share the experience of this lady. We are sorry to hear that the lady involved had to phone us twice due to being unwell but pleased to hear that she received excellent care from both ourselves and the hospitals that she was then taken to.

We hope that she is now recovering well and would like to take this opportunity so send her best wishes for the future,

Many Thanks
