"My experience as a patient relative"

About: Wythenshawe Hospital / Cardiology

My husband had come in for a cardio version and I cannot explain how well the whole experience went. With this being his second cardio version we were expecting the same treatment we had at Tameside hospital with rude staff unkept environment and no information about the whole procedure . There was no anethisist on site and three hours late. With wythenshaw it was smooth and on time from the start. He got called on time and had the procedure reasonably quick. While we was waiting for the procedure we wanted a place to pray. We asked a nurse nearby was given information towards the chapel. We entered and to our surprise it hard a Quran, qibla directions as well as other faiths as well. The staff were beyond amazing. Every time approached the staff had a detailed explanation about how the procedure had advanced. Felt constantly reassured

Dear Ms Kalsoom

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments on the NHS Choices Website, please accept our sincere apologies for the delay in contacting you.

Your comments have been forwarded to the staff in the Cardiology department, who I know are always appreciative when a patient or relative takes the time to let us know about their positive experience.

Thank you
