"All staff were extremely helpful"

About: Western General Hospital / General Surgery

(as the patient),

I attended this unit yesterday for a surgical procedure. From the point of arrival at 7. 40am until I left at 5pm all staff were extremely helpful, friendly and fully explained what would happen and what I could expect.

I would particularly single out the nursing staff in the day bed area, the recovery nurses, and the anaesthetic room team for putting me at ease, and giving me expert care.

Thank you very much for sharing your experiences with us following your surgical procedure yesterday at the Western General Hospital, it can be an anxious time for people.

I was really pleased to read how the staff cared for you during your surgical procedure, being able to put you at ease and explaining what would happen.

I have shared your kind words with the team at the Western General and I am sure like me will wish you well with a speedy recovery after your procedure yesterday.
