I was taken to emergency department following a serious road traffic accident. I had multiple injuries and cardiac arrest. The bones in my arm and leg were so badly smashed that they were in danger of having to be amputated. Emergency bone graft, internal and external fixators and treatment to fix spinal fracture were performed. I was back on my feet and on on crutches after one month. I attended the Orthopedics Department for a period of 1.5 years as an outpatient for follow up treatment to have an additional operation to have an external fixator removed, and finally to have casts removed. The treatment I received was outstanding and advanced. The team at St Peter's Hospital saved my life, kept me out of a wheelchair, and saved my arm and leg. I cannot thank them enough.
"Saved my life and limbs. Thank you so much."
