my son is 2. 5 and has only been seen twice by speech and language therapists for a 30 minute appointment each time since his referal. They do not work on his speech at all during the appointment just offer advice on what I can do. I was told in a nutshell they can't offer speech therapy to every child due to funds. To me as he is so young this should be when therapy is explored before school age as early intervention is so important. I am having to try and find my own speech therapist for him and to me this seems really unfair and unacceptable that this is my only option
