I am very disappointed with antinatal care. No one bothered to inform me about glucose screening, so when I arrived for my 28 weeks appointment and the midwife asked me if I had lucosade I was totally surprised.
Then when midwife checked my urine they found some trace of proteins so they said that it needed to be send to the laboratory for further tests as I am at high risk of preeclampsia. Finally
I was given information about glucose screening and some other blood test request.
When I arrived for my blood tests, the person who takes blood was on lunch break, so I had lots of time to go through my notes. What I found shocked me even more than the fact that they have forgotten about my glucose screening few weeks earlier - The blood test request form had a name of another women few years younger than me. I rushed to the first available midwife and asked them to do something about it and to find out urine test result which was done few days earlier. The midwife took my notes and checked everything, printed out new blood test request forms with my details on it, also they found out that the laboratory did not receive my urine sample, so it was clear that the midwife I have seen previously did not bother to send it to the lab. and has given me forms with a details of another person. I do not feel safe and looking to change hospital.
