I have been an outpatient at this clinic for about 8 months now, and I just want to say a huge thank you to Dr Thomas, Sister Megan and the rest of the team.
I suffered a stroke in my late teens/early twenties and the reasons was never investigated. Last year I had a minor "episode" after which my GP reffered me to this clinic.
Dr Thomas was very thorough and arranged a long list of tests to find out why I had the initial stroke all those years ago and to find out if any treatment is needed. I am now on Warfarin to prevent any future "episodes" and all my tests so far have been normal.
It has been a scary few months, but the team have been fantastic, they are friendly, reassuring, understanding and helpful, and they always treat you with dignity and respect.
