Intensive Care absolutely excellent

Cleanliness of toilets are improved.

What could be improved

Beware being thrown into a ward from .ITU

Sad but I am unhappy with most everything up to now when I am still a patient.

Far too few nurses, and many over worked and under paid,

Too many paper workers, including sisters, staff nurses, salt team, nutritionists, etc. meeting targets etc. No time for anyone.

Too much chatting at the stations.

Leaving wards unmanned for lengthy periods.

Having to rng home to get a drink.

30 mins for nurse to answer the bell.

Bedside not tidied after injections etc, paper and scissor left, food left from day before, sometimes on the floor.

Urine bottles left anywhere.

Absolutely no co-orination within the teams. Disagreements.

No liason between one ward to another department. No checks made like special equipment when patient is moved.

Food, absolutely dreadful.especially the stale bread and fish and potato pie.

More empathy from Sisters, and staff nurses.they have no time.

Doctors not respecting patient's relatives. Doctor's walking past a patient and ignoring them.

I refer only to open ward situations.

Anything else?

I am sad and disheartened at the present state we are in within the NHS, many areas are adequate but being out there on your own is not an experience of caring and concern or indeed does it give any level of safety or security for the patient. They are often at the mercy of the hospital for no one to speak up for them.

Parking between 2 and 3pm should be made better, using green area just for one hour.

I Think a High Dependancy Ward is essential for this Hospital.
