"Bowel cancer - surgery"

About: Royal Sussex County Hospital

Three weeks ago i was diagnosed with bowel cancer.

Last week I had surgery to remove the tumour.

My treatment since the diagnosis has been absolutely fantastic by everyone - the consultant, the Macmillan nurses, the staff in the Surgical Assessment Unit, the anaesthetists, the staff on Level 5 and Level 9a.

The medical and emotional care and support I received was faultless.

The staff were professional, helpful, caring and so encouraging from the cleaners to the nurses.

Please pass on my thanks to them all.

Dear Ms Strulo

Thank you so much for taking the time to feedback about your experience at our hospital, which I am sure has been a difficult time for you. I am delighted to hear that it was positive and I have passed this onto the teams involved in your care, I know that they will really appreciate your kind words.

I wish you well for your recovery.

Best wishes,

Hannah Pacifico
