I came in to see a Consultant at the beginning of April to talk through my options after a car crash id had left me with a prolapsed disc, I decided to have the op they suggested as id spent the last year in so much pain, they booked me in for the end of the same month,
I have never had an op previous to this and was put at ease that they would look after me.On the day of the op I was very emotional and scared. I was taken to my room up stairs (which was lovely and clean) one of the nurses saw how upset i was a came straight to me an gave me a big hug. I spent time with the anesthetist and the Consultant talking about what was going to happen during and after the op. Everybody was kind and reassuring and before I knew it I was coming round the nurses had made sure i was comfortable, I had a lovey meal when i felt up to it and was checked regularly throughout the night the Consultant came to see me that morning and explained that everything was successful .... four months on I am now not having any of the pain I previously had and am looking to start the couch to 5k training Sept/Oct time, which previous to this would of been impossible i'm so glad i had this op and am so incredibly appreciative to the Consultant and their team as I now am no longer on prescribed meds and am able to enjoy doing things with my children again
"completely satisfied"
