"Wonderful end of life care"

About: University Hospital Monklands

(as a relative),

My lovely wee nanny spent two weeks in ward 2 Monklands and finally passed away on the 1st September.

In her final days our family were with her 24/7 and the care and attention she received from staff was excellent and they also looked after all of us too.

We would like to thank all of the ward staff from the bottom of our hearts from the lady who got me a wheelchair to take my gran outside for the last time and the nurses Donna-Marie, Barry and Elisa, although they were all wonderful.

Dear Clarabelle

Thank you for taking time to post your experience of the care your Nanny received in ward 2, I appreciate this is a very difficult time for you and your family following the recent death of a much loved relative.

The nursing team work extremely hard to meet the needs of both patients and their families and to ensure that care is delivered with dignity, respect and compassion and I know the staff of ward 2 will be delighted to know they have made such an impact.

Please accept my condolences

Kindest regards

Ruth
