"Wonderful caring people"

About: New Cross Hospital / Accident and emergency

Visited new cross with my 85year old mother , we visited several departments while we were there

I was very touched by the wonderfully caring people we had the great privilege to meet , they treated my mother with respect and friendliness and made our 7 hour day visit pleasant in difficult circumstances. The one thing I can only say negative is the signage in the hospital what happened to the name of the departments instead of a series of letters and numbers ,it's a maze of corridors and you can only see letters and numbers yes they have maps dotted about the hospital but I and a lot of other people found these very unhelpful , not only the older generation but the younger generation were also having problems please please look at this through the eyes of someone who has never visited the hospital before it's a little daunting I felt like I was on challenge Anika , once again the staff came to the rescue helping myself and my mother and also agreed it's not easy to find places . Just one thing left to say Thankyou to everyone there .

Thank you very much for taking the time to post your comments relating to your recent visit with your mother to our hospital.

I will share your comments with our staff. If you would like to discuss your concerns further relating to the signage, please contact the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on 01902 695362.

Kindest regards
