"Disappointed"

About: University College Hospital

For the duration of my pregnancy care was fantastic. Unfortunately after labour - an emergency caesarean at 33 weeks then being seperated from my son (taken to neonatal) I was taken to the postnatal ward with other mothers with their newborns. It would have been more suitable during my 5 day stay to have been given an amenity room. My son will still be in hospital for another 2 weeks in neonatal. I was then told I was being discharged and had to leave ASAP as the beds were needed. After emcs I was not helped by staff to go see my son in the neonatal unit - I felt bullied by the senior midwife

Thank you for taking the time to feed back to us. We are very sorry to hear about your recent experience of the Maternity Services at UCLH. We would be grateful if you could contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) via pals@uclh.nhs.uk or by calling 020 3447 3042 so that we can look into this.
