"As good as it gets"

About: Good Hope Hospital

I had treatment in the day case unit April last year & August this year. At a time when people are rightly or wrongly commenting on our NHS. I can only comment on 'MY' experience. The staff on both occasions were friendly, caring & professional.I am not supposed to name names , so I have & will contact the individuals themselves. The care that was shown me was outstanding. You can be called a carer but do you act as one? These people really did! The whole experience through all the different teams of people was excellent! My consultant surgeon was a person of great skill & care. The anesthetist was the same. Everyone I came in contact with showed the same friendliness & professionalism. I could not have been looked after better even in private care! To be able to have treatment from such skilled people with no direct cost to myself is truly amazing! I can only offer my sincere thanks to all concerned for all they did for me.

Thank you so much for your comments and feedback about your patient experience in the Day Case Unit at Good Hope Hospital, in April 2015 and August of this year.

I am so pleased to read your comments about the treatment and care provided to you during your attendances. and that everyone you came into contact with was professionalism and friendliness.

I will be delighted to ensure that your feedback is highlighted to our Matron for Day Surgery who I'm sure also be thrilled to read your comments and ensure that they are communicated to all of the Day Surgery Team, who work very hard to provide a positive patient experience, sometimes under great pressures.

I do hope that my actions are acceptable, and am sending you my best wishes for your continued recovery.
