"Hospital feedback - consultant"

About: King George Hospital / Urology

I have been under the care of a named consultant on and off for around 10 years (since 2006/2007). I say " on and off" because the last few times I have seen this consultant I seem to have completely dropped off the NHS system.

The last time I disappeared off the system was a couple of years ago when I saw them and they said they wanted to see me again after 3 or 4 months. Lo and behold I never received a letter so after a few months I began chasing only to find out I was never in the list to have an appointment sent to me.

I had to get my GP to write a letter to resume treatment at the Urology department , and I saw this consultant again who referred me for 12 months of Cystistat at King George Hospital. I cannot fault the nurses there, they are amazing and looked after me for a year. Unfortunately this consultant wanted to see me again so in December 2015 I saw them at Loxford for a 10 minute appointment. (I was seen almost an hour late but I expected this anyway). They asked me how the King George treatment was going and I said it helped me, I wanted to carry on with it. So they promised me a letter to start the treatment within one month. It is now September 2016. 9 months later. I have chased with the hospital, I even tried to visit the nurses but they said they cant do anything without the consultant's say-so. I have had enough , I have been missing out on NHS care and medical treatment. I visited my GP yesterday and have asked for them to get me referred again to a different hospital and consultant completely.

To think I pay all my taxes and this is the way I am treated.
