"zero communication"

About: Royal Derby Hospital / Rheumatology

I arrived for my appointment in plenty of time. But was not informed they were running over an hour late. During this time I could have had the blood tests I knew the doctor would request or at least been given the information of the wait to allow me to make an informed decision whether to wait or not. Instead I sat listening to the nurses station double entendre non funny too loud chit chat.

Thank you for your comments, which I can confirm have been shared with the General Manager for the Rheumatology Clinic, who would like to offer you their apologies for the inconvenience caused.

In light of your feedback, the Manager is looking at introducing a sign, which clearly details if there are any delays in clinic.

In addition, she has reinforced the importance of acting professionally at all times, whilst working in the clinic.

Once again, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us.

Kind Regards,

Patient Advice & Liaison Team (PALS)
