"You couldn't make this up"

About: NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde

(as a relative),

Nearly two years ago I wrote about the health board's investigation into my son's death. Two years on they are instructed by the SPSO to apologise. Three weeks ago they send an apology letter to a completely random address. You couldn't make up this sort of incompetence up even if you wanted to.

Response from Coral Brady, Business & Admin Manager, Women & Children's Services, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde

Dear Tigermum,

I am so very sorry that the apology letter was not properly addressed. The Scottish Public Services Ombudsman contacted us yesterday to point out this error, and we are rectifying this today.

This was entirely our fault and we will ensure that this is not repeated in future.

Paul Cannon, Deputy Head of Administration, NHS GG&C.

So who is replying to me?

Coral Brady or Paul Cannon?

Response from Coral Brady, Business & Admin Manager, Women & Children's Services, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde

Dear Tigermum,

Paul Canon is our senior administrator.

Paul provided the response, I posted it on his behalf.

I hope this helps explain. If you have any other queries you're welcome to email either Paul or myself: coral.brady@ggc.scot.nhs.uk or paul.canon@ggc.scot.nhs.uk

Kind regards

Coral
