"Can’t just be accepted that people have to be kept waiting "

I attended Liverpool Hospital for skin concerns yesterday. I arrived a little early for my early afternoon appointment but wasn’t seen until at least an hour later. No one came up to me to explain the clinic was running late. I know waiting times are a common problem in the NHS but it can’t just be accepted that people have to be kept waiting like this- it shows a lack of respect. It’s really poor that people have come to accept and tolerate very late appointments. It messes up your day and is a real inconvenience. When I mentioned my dissatisfaction at the time the reply was, that’s just how it is”- well it shouldn’t be.
