About: Russells Hall Hospital

I have waited over 6 weeks for my MRI result. My consultant is on leave and the result letter hasnt even been approved yet. it will be 7/8 weeks plus until I receive my result. The huge delay is causing me huge anxiety and hopeful needless worrying. My GP has no result either. The MRI staff where lovely and very imformative, the huge wait for my result has definalty hundered my view of the service I have so far received. Is it not possible for me to get my result any sooner?

We know that waiting for scan results can be a very anxious time for patients and so must apologise for the wait you have experienced. Patients do not typically wait 7 to 8 weeks for MRI results and so it is both disappointing and surprising to hear you have waited so long.
