"Dismissive doctor"

I've previously seen a wonderful doctor there who spoke with me, assessed me, discussed treatment options, explained things to me and generally treated me like a human being. A specialist nurse was also great. But twice I've seen another doctor who rushes to dismiss me, doesn't do any physical assessment, no medical interview and does not enter into discussion.

Also seems to work on the basis of different understandings about the conditions. I waited so long for the appointment so I could discuss the worsening of my symptoms and arrange the additional meds and scans the other doctor had said I should have if things got worse, yet this Dr completely dismissed me and had no interest in me as a patient or human being. It's quite devastating when one so desperately waits and hopes for care that might make daily life more manageable. It's worrying when doctors pay different amounts of attention to research about the nature and treatment of conditions too.
