"Very unhappy with mums stay"

About: Wincanton Community Hospital

This is the second stay at my mums local hospital.

She has come home and never wants to go back

She slept badly and was kept awake my the nurses moaning and chatting between themselves at all hours of the night. The day was not much better. Long waits to answer the bell and she was told you will have to wait. This really upset my mum.

I tried to speak to the sister or staff nurse. Both very off hand. Sister was too busy chatting to the doctor about the doctor's holiday than to speak to me. Mum asked the nurse for the toilet and was told to wait.

Whilst the staff drank tea

One nurse on duty smelt strongly of alcohol.

Overall the ward was fairly clean and bright.
