"Knee replacement"

About: West Suffolk Hospital / General surgery

I was very worried about having surgery but as soon as I was admitted the anesthetist came to see me and put me at ease. The surgeon followed and explained what was going to happen. After the surgery I was in the recovery room and the staff there explained what was going on and when I would be taken to the ward. Once on the ward the nurses looked after the pain and settled me down for the night. The next day the physio therapists started to get me on my feet, the first time I nearly fainted but they did not pressure me to continue they came back later and the next day and I was soon able to get around. All in all my stay could not have been better, the care I received was brilliant, many thanks to all the staff.
